Mr EJ Motsisi, Charge’ de affaires at the SA High Commission in Wellington undertook an official visit to Fiji for bilateral consultations with the authorities in Suva from 22 to 25 March 2023. South Africa is accredited to Fiji on a non-residential basis following the closure of its Mission in Suva in 2021.
The visit signalled South Africa’s commitment to the bilateral ties with Fiji and its determination to breathe new life into the relationship following a period of minimal engagement. A fruitful exchange was held with the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Trade, Cooperative & Small and Medium Enterprises, Mr Shaheen Ali.
