Post Receptionist/Telephonist
Salary package : NZ$63 752 to NZ$68 961 per annum
Service benefits
- 13th cheque in December

- Medical Insurance: 64.5% employer contribution on monthly insurance premiums (must be a New Zealand Citizen, PR holder or hold a work visa valid for 2 years and more to qualify)
Requirements
- A minimum of 12 years schooling plus 2 years working experience in Reception/front desk
- Relevant training on Reception/front desk will be an added advantage
- Preference will be given to candidates with relevant training / experience
- Must hold a relevant valid New Zealand work VISA/PR or New Zealand Citizenship
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, WordPress will be an added advantage
- Hands-on experience with office equipment

Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome clients as soon as they arrive at the Mission
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
- Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
- Update calendar and schedule meetings and appointments
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing
- Assist at Consular Section when required
- Report to Corporate Services

South Africa Honorary Consul Vacancy
The Commission is planning to appoint a suitable candidate to serve as South Africa’s Honorary Consul in Auckland as soon as reasonably possible. Honorary consular representation is regulated by the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations dated 24 April 1963, which is also incorporated in the Diplomatic Immunities and Privileges Act, 2001 (Act No. 37 of 2001). Duties of the Honorary Consul are outlined in Article 5 of the Vienna Convention of 1963.
